Tairāwhiti has a completely confidential Community Clinic on 141 Bright Street (the building behind Farmers). This service provides free and confidential sexual and reproductive health services, including:
- Sexual health screening and treatment
- Cervical screening
- Contraception with emphasis on long-acting methods
- Free non-scalpel vasectomy
- Immunisation
- Transgender prescribing
- Pregnancy testing, workup, and referral
- Early pregnancy decision making counselling and care
- Termination care
People can self-refer to this clinic or by referral by their general practitioner.

At all Tairāwhiti Pinnacle GP practices; if you are under 25 all of your sexual services are free. Women aged 25-44 may still be eligible for free contraception consultations and procedures (contact your GP practice to enquire).
