Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti is looking for members to join its consumer council. The vacancies would suit those passionate about improving health outcomes for the people of te Tairāwhiti.
Kay Paku, consumer council chair, says the council is the voice of the Tairāwhiti community.
“The consumer council is an engaged, capable, and diverse team whose voice makes a worthwhile difference to the development, design, and delivery of health services in our rohe. We would love to add your perspective to ours.”
Collectively, the council brings the perspective of people using health services into the planning and evaluation of what is delivered in te Tairāwhiti and acts as an advisory group to Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti decision makers.
“People should apply if they have proven leadership skills, strong connections to communities in Tairāwhiti, a passion for the health of our communities, confidence, and good communication skills,” says District Director Jim Green.
