Keeping our tamariki healthy, happy & well

Hauora Tairawhiti are hosting a workshop to look at ways of supporting a healthy lifestyle in our children (healthy kai, physical activity and a healthy weight).

An early start to a healthy lifestyle is important and the Before School Check that your child has when they are 4 years old is one of our starting points for supporting families.

Feedback from family and whanau is important and we’d like to invite anyone interested to join us on the day.

The issues we’d like your help with are things like:

  1. Have you ever had to seek advice for healthy lifestyles or a healthy weight before – what was this like for you and your whanau?
  2. Who would be the best person or service to help your family and children with healthy lifestyles information, advice and support?
  3. What are some of the challenges that make it difficult for families to have a healthy lifestyle?
  4. What can we do better to support families and whanau to live a healthy lifestyle

For further information or to RSVP please contact Tracey.Lewis@tdh.org.nz or phone 06 8692095 extn 8629. You can also just show up on the day.

Please join us at 9am to 11am on Tuesday 8 November in the Poutama Room, Ko Matakerepo Learning Centre, Gisborne Hospital
