About Takatu Hub:

Takatu Hub is a call centre health and wellbeing service for whānau in Tairāwhiti who need immediate health advice and support with conditions like COVID-19, Flu and respiratory illnesses.

The service is coordinated by local registered nurses, health professionals and mataora.

The hub is a partnership between hauora māori health provider Te Kupenga Net Trust, Public Health and Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti. The service is closely connected with local doctors’ clinics, iwi, hapū and government agencies such as MSD to provide holistic, wrap-around support to whānau who require support. The hub also offers support to whānau affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.
